BIO
After many years working in research laboratories, I realized that while I love science and the study of the world around us, what I love more is learning with people and helping them grow! I began my teaching career working as a Teacher's Assistant in college Chemistry, and as a peer tutor in microbiology and statistics. I loved helping my students and friends through the difficult parts as they struggled to learn complex material, and shared in their joy when something finally "clicked."
Over 5 years later, I am proud to be a member of the staff at Bais Yaakov of Waterbury, an all-girls religious high school that prides itself in religious and character education, and in a rigorous college preparatory program. To that end, I run the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math department. I currently teach an array of courses depending on the year, including AP Biology, AP Psychology, General Chemistry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Principles of Engineering, and Applied Engineering.
I am proud to be able to take the skills and knowledge I have gained through my study and experience at Azrieli and use them to make my classroom a warm, positive, growth-focused experienced for all of my students. I believe that every single one of my students, regardless of their background or ability, can be successful and grow in their own way. With that in mind, please enjoy perusing the rest of my site!
